Hi.  I’m Heather.  I LOVE music.  Listening to it, watching it performed live, sharing it, writing about it and even writing some of my own.

I’m a music junkie, internet geek and sometimes poet with a taste for indie girl-folk. I also host the Lyrical Venus Radio Hour every Tuesday from 9-10 on kruufm.com

This blog is where I write about the female singer-songwriters I feature on the radio show, and about other female singer-songwriters I meet or discover on the web.  There is SO much great music out there that deserves a wider audience and Lyrical Venus is my way of promoting the music that inspires me.

For the long story of how I got to making this blog and hosting the show, click here.

I know it’s probably around here somewhere, but any files of your music? I would love to hear you, and/or read some of your poetry.

Much love and many blessings in the new year. I’m hoping we get to talk on your show.

Hi Jan! Thanks for indirectly reminding me that I probably need to update some of my “about” pages! I am working on thinking of myself as a songwriter so have been shy about sharing. In the spirit of one of my goals to toss myself out there, here are a few links where you could hear/watch some of my music. Nearly all of it is either live or recorded on my laptop:

These are pretty much the same songs on each except you can download the tracks on the reverbnation site, although some people were having trouble getting it to work because of pop-up blockers or something.

Here is a playlist of videos: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=991C5BFD8DBD5FE8

I don’t have any poetry posted anywhere so far.

I hope you get to be on the show soon too!!!

Thank you Lewis! I’m glad you enjoyed STR. Here’s a link to the interview I did with them the Tuesday before their show: http://kruufm.com/node/7164

Hey Heather — you won a CD from me, for commenting on my dilemma about whether to re-release Topaz. (I will.) Meanwhile, I need a way to send you the CD! Email me back with your address, and I’ll get a copy of Under the Greenwood Tree out to you.
As you know, I don’t sing, but I consider myself a singer-songwriter anyway. I sing with the piano.
Enjoy, and thank you for weighing in on my situation,
